INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

HoHoKus Dental Associates offers an internship program for students who plan on pursuing a Doctor of Dental Medicine/Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.

HoHoKus Dental Associates offers an internship program for students who plan on pursuing a Doctor of Dental Medicine/Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. As an intern at HDA, you will gain knowledge by learning from experienced dental professionals from all areas of dentistry. You will also learn how a front office functions and receive first-hand knowledge that will be valuable in your career as a dentist.

The length of our structured internship program is over a semester or a summer, but can be extended to a year or more upon review. In addition to experience gained through the program, our previous interns can be mentors throughout your journey of becoming a dentist.

Interested in becoming an intern? Send a resume to confirm@hohokusdental.com with a one-page personal statement as to why they want to work in the dental field and why they feel our program could benefit them. Students be at least 18 years old to apply, be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate university and have plans to attend dental school in the future.

Caroline interned with us the past two summers, where she created educational materials for patients on sleep apnea, diabetes and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD). She is now a full-time intern and working on her applications for dental school. She continues to learn invaluable information that will greatly benefit her in the dental field.

Brittany Gordon

B.S., St. Johns University-Queens

Brittany worked at HoHoKus Dental Associates as the Head Intern while completing her pre-requisites for dental school in 2019. Brittany’s passion for dentistry was sparked during her undergrad career when she traveled to Honduras with the Medical/Dental Global Brigades (St. John’s Chapter). She was able to shadow dentists as they provided free dental care to underprivileged communities, some of which had never had access to a dentist before. She describes the experience as life-changing and extremely fulfilling. She feels HoHoKus Dental put her life into perspective and has given her the direction she needed.
